When visiting Cinque Terre, it’s best to sleep in one of the towns so that you can stay there in the evening when most of the tourists are gone and you can really capture the magic of these small towns. You can travel from one town to another by train (2 minutes per stop). With that same train ticket, you’re also allowed to take the pedestrian routes between the towns. When in Vernazza, take the pedestrian route to the next town in order to be able to get to this spot.
I had seen this spot on the internet and was determined to find it. Little did I know that the path was long and jolty, I was wearing flipflops and it was around 30 degrees so that this climb felt like the longest and hardest I’ve ever taken. But the view was 100% worth the while.
