Walk 23 days south from Florence on the Via Francesco
This is on of many hilltop villages along the Way of Saint Francis where you will be the only visitor. In the evening the local people come out for a drink or a coffee to the only bar in town. This trail is 340 miles long and connects Florence, Assisi, and Rome. The only restaurant open just served pizza, from a wood-fired oven, and it was marvelous. The owner came to visit with us, too.
